Team Member Spotlight: Siena Michaud, Manager of Growth

Siena Michaud is brand new to the Overlay team, coming on board as our Manager of Growth in February 2022. We couldn't be more excited to work alongside her and learn from new and existing clients who are modernizing their approach to financial reporting.

Where are you from?‍

Fairfax, Virginia

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to play with my son, read, and explore Northern Virginia with my family.

What lights your fire when you come to work every day?

There's no feeling quite like knowing that the work I put in every single day has a direct impact on the growth of our business. Knowing that there's a direct, tangible result of my efforts and that I'm part of such a dynamic team really makes me smile!

What does an average workday look like for you?

An average day at Overlay consists of identifying potential organizations that might align with our platform and researching current industry trends. However I'd say the most important part of my day is speaking with future clients to generate awareness for our platform and to learn what their existing priorities are, as well as where OA might fit into them.

What has been your biggest accomplishment with your team?

I'm fairly new to the team, so I'm confident that our greatest accomplishments are yet to come. So far, though, I've absolutely loved seeing how we've already evolved our messaging to ensure that OA's mission is properly conveyed in each interaction we have.

What’s a little known fact about you?

I'll give you two: my husband and I met in the fourth grade, and I almost went to college for opera!

What’s your favorite thing about living in Virginia?

I love that Virginia is full of such variety. If you want a day in the mountains, you can drive an hour and be there. The beach isn't too far away, and you better believe the snowstorms don't spare us, either!

Favorite travel destination or trip you’ve taken?

This is a tough choice between rafting through the Grand Canyon for a week (where I got engaged), and honeymooning at a dude ranch in Cody, Wyoming.
